The club gives two special awards - one annual and one as the occasion rises - to bring attention to particularly worthy persons.

The Benjamin Franklin Award

Presented annually for the purpose of stimulating, encouraging and recognizing exemplary public leadership, the Benjamin Franklin Award recognizes those persons who, through public appointed or elected service, have exhibited extraordinary integrity, courage and achievement.

The 2009 Benjamin Franklin Award

Bob Dillinger was surprised with the 2009 Benjamin Franklin Distinguished Leadership award at the February 9th Annual Event held at the St. Petersburg Marriott.  The recipient of the Award was kept a closely guarded secret until the reading of the biographical information gave it away.  The Award presentation kicked-off the evening featuring guest speaker John Harwood, Chief Washington Correspondent with CNBC.  Mr. Dillinger accepted the Award to a standing ovation crowd of over  200 Tigers.

The 2008 Ben Franklin Award

The Grassroots Award

The Grassroots Award was most recently presented to Emily Rogers Coeyman on March 14, 2006.

Presented on an occasional basis, the Grassroots Award is given to a citizen whose grassroots efforts have made a singular contribution to public policy, either by way of having had a beneficial effect on a public issue, or issues, or by contributing to a broader understanding of public affairs.
