We Tigers know that today's teenagers are tomorrow's leaders. We're dedicated to fostering youth interest in public affairs, and we put our money where our mouth is:

The Margo Fischer
Young Tiger Program

During the school year, we invite Juniors and Seniors (and a teacher-chaperone) from Pinellas County schools to be our guests for lunch. We extend full member privileges to these "Young Tigers," and some have even walked away with the Fang & Claw Award!

Young Tigers from Boca Ciega High School  visited the Club
on February 22, 2008, to hear U.S. Senator Bill Nelson.
Shown here (L-R) are chaperone Christina Ouellet,
Errol Webley, Senator Nelson
and Shannon Swain.

The cost of  Young Tigers' attendance is subsidized by
individual contributions from our members throughout the year.

The Dorothy Walker Ruggles
Democracy Scholarship

Congratulations to our 2008 Scholarship recipients:

Zachary Hungate,
St. Petersburg HS

Joel Quattlebaum,
Largo HS

Alice Holden,
Lakewood HS

The club gives annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors through the Pinellas County Education Foundation. The scholarship winners are invited to be our guests for lunch at an early summer meeting.
Members contribute directly to the Scholarship fund when they renew their annual membership dues.
